Games that are exclusive to specific consoles are one of the largest factors when choosing a console. While there are fewer exclusives than games compatible with multiple platforms, must-have exclusives are few and far between. If you’re looking for a new gaming console, you’ll want to know the best exclusives each console has to offer. Xbox One has some awesome exclusive games. These games were chosen based on their reviews, history with the console and the excitement surrounding the game.
Past: Halo: “The Master Chief Collection”

Halo has always been a selling point of the Xbox systems as its flagship exclusive game. Released in November 2014, “The Master Chief Collection” includes “Halo: Combat Evolved,” “Halo 2,” “Halo 3” and “Halo 4.” Along with being ported for Xbox One, all of these titles have been graphically enhanced. Being able to have all the major Halo titles on the latest system is truly nothing to scoff at, and that’s why “The Master Chief Collection” is the number one staple in everyone’s Xbox One collection.
Past: “State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition”

Released in April, “State of Decay” is a zombie game unlike any other. Not only will you go around popping heads off zombies, but you’ll also be able to manage a colony, bring people in, and even head off on supply runs to keep your colony afloat. “State of Decay” is meant to be as real as possible, though, so if one of your character dies, don’t expect them to come back.
Present: “Halo 5: Guardians”

Considering how important “Halo” is to the Xbox brand, it’s no surprise to see another one up here. “Guardians” is the ninth installment of the “Halo” series but is the fifth major release of the main saga. “Guardians” is also the first “Halo” game to be introduced first on the Xbox One, and like the other “Halo” games, is a must-have in any Xbox One game catalog. The release date is set for October 27.
Future: “Quantum Break”

“Quantum Break” is a groundbreaking new game coming to Xbox One in April 2016. The game will feature a digital live action series to go along with the game. Although “Quantum Break” isn’t the first game to have an accompanying series, it might be the one with the most aspirations. Choices you make in the game will even affect some of the scenes in the show. There’s tons of excitement about this game, and it might even open a whole new door in the way we get our media.
Future: “Gears of War 4”

Another staple of the Xbox culture, the “Gears of War” saga has always been a fan favorite. Set to be released at the end of 2016, the fourth main installment of the series is coming more the five years after the last. The rights for the series were bought out by Microsoft before the announcement, so this could be a game very different from the last four “Gears of War” titles.
